Born and raised in the heart of New York City I’ve worked at Barneys New York, The New York Times, New York Magazine, The Cut.
Baby me could only have imagined the dreams that I've manifested into reality ... the things I would one day achieve when visiting Barneys and reading the Sunday Times as a kid.
I have founded Loresier, born from a necklace design sketch that read “Live to Tell the Tale”. This sketch, shown to my mama almost two decades ago, represents everything that I have become, survived and accomplished and everything I dream of Loresier to be.
Loresier exists to share pieces and lore from artists, storytellers and incredible people, with spotlights on women throughout. Our pieces are meant to enable you to live your best life and tell your tale.
We will share knowledge of the things we know for sure, lessons that we've learned (sometimes the hard way), ah-ha moments and knowledge gained that we believe to be valuable in the hope that you leave (and come back) prepared for what things may come, armed with knowledge and dripping in gems.
While I have been very lucky in this life, it has not come without its share of grief and lessons that have made me the Force of Nature that I am today … like my mothers before me and the people that I have admired the most in life.
Our Force of Nature Wearable Affirmation Necklace was inspired by these lives and stories and is one of the earliest phrases pulled from a long list of idioms and ideas that I have curated for the better part of two decades … Idioms from which Loresier has grown and since evolved into a platform where pieces that tell stories are showcased, crafted and curated.
My entire chemistry has changed over the course of the past few years and it all led me … to you … and to … myself.
I am eternally grateful for it all and for you all.
Love,
Leilani
