Reesa Teesa's "Who TF Did I Marry?" entered the chat and resonated with thousands of people who know that gut-wrenching feeling of being lied to by the person they're dating.
Even a Work of Art like Princess Diana herself would resonate with this dating experience that many of us know all too well, albeit hopefully to a much milder degree.
Teesa details her tumultuous marriage to “Legion” over 50+ TikToks where she exposes a web of alleged deceit and warning signs perpetrated by her ex-husband with raw authenticity. The TikToks span various facets of their relationship including his “job” as “Vice President of the condiment company” where he actually worked as a temp forklift driver, his “offshore account” and “family money” when he actually lived in a trailer park and sometimes out of his car, and a lot more clown-like behavior like killing his stepdaughter off and having Teesa give him money for the funeral that wasn’t.
It’s absolute Force of Nature behavior to tell your story over the course of 50+ TikToks (totaling 6+ hours and 400+ million views and counting), then ending up on Good Morning America, The Cut, NBC News, etc. Iconic. If each of us who has had terrible experiences at the hand of others posted our stories, we’d break the internet (if Teesa hasn’t already).
Teesa's narrative struck a chord with countless people, prompting them to share their own stories and advocate for greater awareness surrounding emotional manipulation in relationships.
Bad actors position themselves in a way to hold power over their victims and social platforms like TikTok have allowed for us to tell our story and take our power back.
Self-care is how you take your power back and it is self-care to tell your story, especially one that resonates with so many others who have felt what you feel. There is power in numbers and we hope as more stories are shared publicly that those contemplating harming others consider that their actions could have far reaching consequences when the court of public opinion cancels them.
We believe that public posting should be reserved for truly bad actors, as people carry things with them that make them act in ways their partners don’t deserve and make mistakes, but for those among us who actively manipulate others to such startling degrees….off.with.their.heads.
Remember… you are a Force of Nature, a Work of Art, a Thing of Beauty and a Masterpiece.
Let the legions of the world know who you are before uttering a single word. Let them know your worth and let them know that you know your worth. We would love to see Reesa in our Force of Nature Wearable Affirmation as we can’t think of anyone better to wear one right now.
